Paredao, also known as white buffalo grass, was selected among several highly productive lines of Panicummaximum. Paredao is our highest yielding white buffalo grass (30 – 35 t/DM/Ha/year under ideal conditions). It has long, wide leaves with rapid and uniform regrowth after grazing. It has a high palatability and digestibility and is suitable for cattle, sheep, horses, goats and game. Paredao tends to do well in hotter regions. It is not recommended for areas that receive frequent frost. It is resistant to the spittlebug.
