SUPER WINTER COVER CROP MIX
Super Winter Cover Mix is an eight species mix consisting of Oats, Triticale, Vetch, Peas, Canola, Lupin, Barley and Radish. A major benefit of this mixture is that it provides quick forage for direct grazing in the winter months. Some other benefits are that it improves the soil quality by increasing the soil organic matter, it increases soil fertility, it suppresses weeds and nematodes, it reduces soil erosion, it improves water infiltration and retention and it creates a better seedbed for spring planting.
